The Hospital

This 225 bed super specialty eye hospital and training center was inaugurated on 9th March, 2008 by Shri Sudhakar Rao, IAS Chief Secretary, Government of Kanataka and Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan, MD, Infosys Technology. This hospital, located on a 4.5-acre campus on the HAL Airport-Whitefield Road in the IT Capital of Bangalore, is among the foremost in eye care in this region. The center is well accessible to the most parts of the city and has reached self-sufficiency where funds collected from the paying patients (20% of the patients serviced by the hospital) is sufficient to provide the free services for the rural blind (80% of the hospital’s patients.)
